The presentations begin on December 19th and will include three webinars focusing on accreditation, imaging physics testing, and artificial intelligence (A.I.).

“The upcoming educational series will highlight recent trends impacting imaging quality and technology,” says Eliot Siegel, MD, RadSite’s chief technology officer and Standards Committee chair. “The webinars will provide key insights for a wide array of stakeholders, including providers, consumers payers and others.”

  • Dec. 19, 2017, noon-1 p.m. EST – RadSite Accreditation Overview: This webinar will provide an overview of RadSite as a market leader in imaging accreditation, its current and future standards, including changes to the MIPPA Accreditation Program (covering CT, MRI, PET and SPECT imaging systems), and an overview of the accreditation process. The session will showcase the new accreditation portal and best practices associated with navigating the application process. The presentation also will highlight reasons why demand for RadSite accreditation is expanding. The panel will be moderated by Jonathan Ramirez, B.S. RT R CT, RadSite director of sales; and will include perspectives from Julie Irons, RadSite accreditation manager; and Bruce Reiner, MD, RadSite’s chief medical officer. Click here to register.
  • Jan. 23, 2018, 1-2 p.m. EST – The Importance of Imaging Physics Testing: During this webinar, RadSite will highlight the importance of physics testing for a wide-range of imaging systems. The session also will detail the scope of RadSite’s technical component of the MIPPA Accreditation Program (MAP), including new changes to the Standards that are under development. The conversation will be moderated by Mark Casner, RadSite’s Accreditation Committee chair; and will include commentary from panelist Phillip W. Patton, PhD, CHP, DABR, DABSNM, RadSite’s chief physicist officer. Click here to register.
  • Feb. 21, 2018, noon – 1 p.m. EST – Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging: Hype, Reality and Future Applications: This webinar will discuss the hype, reality and future applications of artificial intelligence/machine learning in diagnostic imaging. This will include definition and explanation of how machine learning works and how it is being applied in diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine and how it will be in the future. It will also include an overview of the state of the art in AI in non-medical imaging applications and how they could be brought to diagnostic radiology. In addition to applications of image diagnosis and quantification, the tremendous potential to provide a more efficient, efficacious, and safe practice using machine learning will be discussed.
