The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently posted the July release of the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) contract file, which has an updated conversion factor for the last six months of 2015. The new conversion factor reflects the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015, which among other things, repealed the SGR payment methodology and provided for a 0.5 percent update for July through December 2015.
