Bruce Reiner, MD, has served with RadSite in a number of capacities over the years. Currently, he serves as RadSite’s Chief Medical Officer, bringing more than 30 years of experience and expertise.  Among other responsibilities, Dr. Reiner helps oversee the MIPPA Accreditation Program and provides clinical and research support to RadSite’s standards development process.

Dr. Reiner states, “My professional goal is to assist RadSite in the development of medical and practice standards for advanced diagnostic imaging which can simultaneously improve medical imaging quality, safety, and education. RadSite is in a unique position to promote meaningful change.  We can positively affect clinical outcomes in medical imaging through objective data-driven analysis, which can be customized to the workflows and technology of the imaging providers that RadSite accredits.”

Dr. Reiner is in active practice as a tele-radiologist, which allows him to stay current on issues related to image quality and how those images are interpreted.  Over the years, he has held a number of diverse jobs in academic, government, and private practice settings—which has given him sharp insight on differences in clinical practice, technology, and workflow. This diversity in practice has also catalyzed his research on the pragmatic challenges facing the radiologist community, as well as on existing clinical and technical deficiencies. To date, he has published more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed medical journals.

In addition to his academic and research pursuits, Dr. Reiner has several medical patents to his credit, in the areas of medical quality, safety, data mining, reporting, and communication. He has also consulted for numerous medical imaging and information systems organizations with an aim at creating innovative technologies focused on data-driven quality and safety improvements.
