RadSite™, a CMS-recognized accrediting agency promoting quality-based imaging, announces the second webinar of its Winter Educational Series, entitled The Importance of Imaging Physics Testing. This webinar will spotlight the importance of physics testing for a wide-range of imaging systems. In addition, the session will also highlight the scope of RadSite’s technical component of the MIPPA Accreditation Program (MAP), including new changes to the Standards that are under development. The webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, at 1 p.m. EST.
“Physics testing of advanced imaging modalities ensures that programs are in place that will result in quality diagnostic images that are consistent with current technology while optimizing the safety of the patient,” said Phil Patton, Ph.D., CHP, DABR, DABSNM, Chief Physicist Officer for RadSite. Dr. Patton will keynote the webinar and share his in-depth knowledge of imaging physics and the need for testing.
Mark Casner, Chair of RadSite’s Accreditation Committee, will moderate the webinar. “Dr. Patton brings a great depth of knowledge of advanced diagnostic imaging physics to RadSite. We are pleased that he will share his experiences and ideas around imaging physics testing in this complimentary webinar on behalf of RadSite, an organization that continues to be a thought leader in the diagnostic imaging profession,” said Casner. “There will also be an opportunity for attendees to submit questions during the webinar as well,” added Casner.
